# What to Expect from an Iris Diagnostic

> A client-friendly explanation of the diagnostic process and participant experience.

The purpose of the diagnostic is to understand **how work happens today**, where friction exists and which changes are worth considering.

## What may be involved

Depending on the engagement, participants may be asked to complete:

* an AI-led stakeholder interview;
* a consent-based screen observation of a relevant workflow or task.

Not every participant needs both.

## What we are looking for

We want to understand the normal workflow, decisions, exceptions, handoffs, rework, delays, workarounds, system switching and opportunities to simplify or improve the process.

## What we are not doing

The purpose is not to grade individual employees or force an AI solution onto every task.

## After evidence collection

The consulting team reviews the evidence, reconstructs the current process, validates important findings and develops recommendations. These may include process changes, systems integration, automation, AI assistance or other interventions.

## Final deliverable

Validated findings and recommendations are assembled into the final consulting report using Iris Report Composer, with the consultant responsible for the final narrative and recommendations.
