Move from process shape to business consequence.

Pattern	Ask
Handoff	Is context lost or ownership unclear?
Queue	Why is work waiting: capacity, approval, policy or missing information?
Rework	What causes the work to return?
Variant	Is this a legitimate path or uncontrolled inconsistency?
Manual effort	Can repetitive transfer, search, checking or drafting be removed?
System switching	Does switching create enough cost or risk to justify integration?

For every pattern ask: what does this mean for the business, and why has it survived? The cause may be technical, operational or organisational.
